Birmingham, Al. – May 15, 2011 – U.S. Administrative Law Judge Debra H. Goldstein, author of the murder mystery novel Maze In Blue, announced today that from June 1-12th a portion of proceeds from in store and online sales from Little Professor Book Center in Homewood, Al., and www.amazon.com will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama (BCRFA) in memory of and to honor friends, family, and unknown sisters.
Goldstein is scheduled to autograph copies of Maze in Blue on Thursday, June 9 from 5-7 p.m. at Little Professor Book Center, 2717 18th St. S., in Homewood, Al. Maze in Blue, a murder mystery set on the University of Michigan’s campus in the 1970s, is Judge Goldstein’s debut novel.
“As a longtime community supporter, it is a joy for me to share something that is close to my heart in a way that can benefit others,” says Goldstein. “I have a deep respect for the research and work that is being done by the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama and it is truly an honor to support BCRFA in this manner.”
About Maze In Blue
The book follows lead character Denney Silber as she navigates her senior year at the University of Michigan planning to enjoy sorority parties, football games, and concerts – plans that go awry when she discovers her best friend Helen dead in the office of the faculty member Denney most despises. Compelled to solve Helen’s murder, Denney quickly realizes that her own life is in danger. Maze in Blue is the first of a series of Denney Silber mysteries.

A graduate of the University of Michigan and Emory University School of Law, Goldstein is one of the youngest individuals appointed as a U.S. Administrative Law Judge. Her extensive career also includes stints in the publishing industry, and serving as an attorney focusing on corporate international tax law and labor litigation.
